ProPak Asia 2017 Tremendous growth achieved over 25 successful years
ProPak Asia is the No. 1 and largest industry event of its kind in Asia. Successfully taking place for its 25th Anniversary edition 14 to 17 June 2017 at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand, and delivering the highest quality and variety of new technology, business and both quality and quantity of local and overseas trade buyers.
This year’s edition was ProPak Asia’s Biggest-Ever seeing a huge 23% increase in size from last year. ProPak Asia 2017 occupied over 55,000 sqm or 8 halls of BITEC and showcased 1,570exhibitors from 43 countries, 17 international pavilions from Australia, China (x2), Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea (x2), Singapore, Spain, Taiwan (x2), UK, USA and a new Confectionery Pavilion across 9 industry zones.
ProPak Asia 2017 attracted 44,690 trade visitors from 74 countries, up 9.3% from the previous year, and received tremendous feedback from exhibitors about the quality and quantity of both local and overseas trade buyers. And from visitors about the huge increase, variety and quality of technology and solutions available at the show. The number of overseas buyers also increased significantly, up 9.9% from the previous year with the Top 12 Asian Countries attending from Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Indonesia, India, Cambodia, Laos and Sri Lanka.

ProPak Asia 2017 showcased a new floor plan layout including 9 Industry Zones across the Biggest-Ever show and connected throughout by the ProPak Asia Avenue of Stars, running right through the heart of the show from halls 98 to 105. Zones included; ProcessingTechAsia, PackagingTechAsia, DrinkTechAsia, PharmaTechAsia, Lab&TestAsia, MaterialsAsia, Coding,Marking&LabellingAsia, Coldchain,Logisitics&WarehousingAsia and PrinTech Asia, driving innovation and enabling buyers and sellers to meet easily and develop great business together.
Many different industry events taking place at ProPak 2017 also provided successful meetings, knowledge exchanges, networking and business opportunities for participants from the Food, Drink
and Pharmaceutical industries. Events included; Food Innovation Asia Conference 2017, Food Innovation Contest 2017, Asia Drink Conference 2017, Thai Beverage Industry Association with Ministry of Health Seminar, PharmaTech Seminar 2017, Thai Packaging Centre and TISTR Conference 2017, The Department of Industrial Promotion Seminar 2017, The FoSTAT-Nestle Bowl Quiz, Asia Food Beverage Thailand Conference, Food Focus Thailand Seminar 2017, Thai Star and Asia Star Packaging Awards 2016, SME focused workshops and packaging seminars, and many events from world-renowned and industry leading companies across all 4 show days.
