Scientific Promotion Co., Ltd.

Topic of Presentation :

"Problems in Powder Flowability and introduction of the Brookfield Powder Flow Tester to overcome the flow problems and Texture analysis: An Introduction to the Instrumental Measurement of Texture”

Summary of Presentation:

Powders have a classic problem of failure to discharge reliably from bins, hoppers, feeders, etc. This causes unwanted interruptions in production process, leading to complete plant shutdowns to correct flow restrictions & stoppages. Knowledge of Flow properties of powders is necessary to design silos and other bulk handling equipment so that no flow problems occur. The Brookfield Powder Flow Tester helps us to characterize different powders on the basis of their flowability and help designing bulk handling equipment to avoid these problems.
